What pay does the instructor receive?
Instructors receive, as a minimum, an amount equal to the difference between their retired pay and the active duty pay which they would receive if ordered to active duty. Active duty pay includes base pay, quarters allowance, subsistence allowance, clothing allowance (NCOs), and variable housing allowance. This is computed on a monthly basis, and then multiplied by the length of the contract.
