UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should the Tib Trainer® be used on: An agitated brain injury patient or other agitated patients; pregnant patients; patients that are non-weight bearing or have weight bearing limitations, such as partial weight bearing or toe-touch weight bearing restrictions; patients with a halo; patients with cervical spine dysfunction or any spinal instability; patients with an acute pelvic or lower extremity fracture; patients who have had recent lower extremity, pelvic or spinal surgery; patients that cannot be safely controlled with the gait/safety belt should they begin to lose their balance; non-ambulatory patients; patients who cannot tolerate wearing a shoe, which is required for proper support when using the Tib Trainer®.
