What patents are the subject of licensing benefits and obligations?
Patents and patent applications with claims called “Necessary Claims” in the MIPI Membership Agreement since they are necessarily infringed by an implementation of a MIPI Specification. The claims must be within the “Scope of IPR” which is another important term defined in the MIPI Membership Agreement.
