What parts of North York, Ontario are safe to live in?
North York is a pretty large area, but in general, the eastern part of North York seems to be quieter/safer than the western part. Crime statistics from the Toronto Police Service would appear to confirm this. See below for more details. Yonge/Sheppard is right in the middle of North York. I haven’t lived there, but some of my colleagues do, and they seem to like it. It’s certainly convenient, since everything you need is nearby.
