What parts of Geography do you specialise in at Swansea?
Our teaching and research are centred around several themes. In Physical Geography our expertise lies in Environmental Dynamics (understanding environmental variability through the Quaternary and into the future) and Glaciology (understanding the processes that regulate the movement of glaciers and ice sheets). Human Geography staff specialise in Migration, boundaries and identities (social and political construction of place; nationalism and nationhood; relationships between international migration, globalisation and the conceptualisation of place; and geographies of exclusion) and Social theory and urban space (understanding space and spatiality in modern and postmodern cities). In Geo-Informatics we have expertise in Global environmental modelling and Earth observation.
