“Graviton” is the name given to the “particle” that mediates gravity. Unfortunately, gravitons aren’t a very good explanation. Physicists are still searching for an explanation for gravity.

It is the spinning of the earth that causes gravitation. If you fill a bucket with water and then swing it around in a circular motion fast enough the water will stay in the bucket. This is what happens on the earth. If the earth stopped spinning we would not be here. The Earths spin is related to the gravitational pull of mainly the sun balanced by the moon.
