What part of the plant do tobacco seeds grow on?

0

The tobacco plant has a tall central stalk with the Tobacco leaves growing off of it. On the top of the stalk, small white trumpet shaped flowers form. The flowers last one day only, so the plant keeps making more flowers. At the base of each flower is a small swelling that will grow seed inside it if the flower got pollinated. Watch the flower stalk until the small seed pods start to turn brown. Pick the pod and crush it, a zillion teeny tiny sees will fall out into your hand. Put them in an old pill bottle or an envelope and seal them for planting next spring.
