What Part Of North Carolina Is The Best Place To Raise A Family?
I like the Raleigh-Cary area – lived and worked theree many years, pretty progressive Chapel Hill/Carrboro area – friends have lived near it, but it’s expensive, don’t know your budget, progressive Durham – best African-American history/events, progressive community, but you have to be careful what neighborhood you live in, unfortunately, I’ve worked theree many years Greensboro – A lot smaller city than Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, but I’ve always heard great things about their city being progressive, whichh is what I look for in a city Unfortunately, Charlotte has a reputation for being conservative (banking/insurance/ Billy Graham); Asheville is progressive, but the outlaying areas are NOT and it’s becoming a Floridian retirement center; Wilmington is not progressive, the outlaying areas are creepy, and it’s a retirement community for New Yorkers (but a lot of New Yorkers live in Cary too). Good luck!
