What part of canada is most like new zealand?
I’m an NZer that has lived in Canada & I would say there is no comparison. The cultures are world’s apart & can be different in each city. Toronto was the most shallow & materialistic place I’ve ever been in my whole life & I hated it. All people ever talk about is ice hockey & material possessions & money. I would compare it to Sydney in looks, population & size, only a very quiet & dull version of Sydney. Their nightlife seemed to consist of sports bars with ice hockey on a screen. Even the famous Toronto Film Festival didn’t compare to Auckland’s! Montreal was fantastic & laid back, funky people, but you have to speak fluent French to be able to work there (by law). Quebec City I love also, really pretty, especially lit up at night, great old buildings, etc. Ottawa was ugly & boring. Calgary is like a Canadian version of Texas. All over Canada is scenic & you don’t have to travel far to get to nature. But they do have bears, etc so a bit different than nature here in NZ. A tip for y
