What Part did Aphrodite play in the trojan war?
The Trojan war started when the goddess of discord ERIS threw a golden apple marked TO THE FAIREST amidst the goddesses. The choice was narrowed down to three: Hera, Athena and Aphrodite. The matter would be judged by Paris, prince of Troy, who chose Aphrodite’s gift (the most beautiful woman in the world ) against those of Hera’s (glory) and Athena’s (power). Aphrodite then helped Paris abduct helen, who was then the wife of the Spartan King Menelaus. The gods and goddesses became torn after this. Aphrodite naturally sided with the Trojans with Ares, Apollo and Artemis, and others. Hera and Athena were on the side of the greeks. Aphrodite helped Paris and Hector most of the time, ánd she guided Paris’ bow and arrow so that it would hit Achilles on his weakness.
