What parks does DPW care for?
There are over 100 parks, playgrounds, plazas, squares, islands, and public building grounds within the jurisdiction of DPW. The DPW also maintains large boulevard medians along Binney Street and Aberdeen Avenue. Lechmere Canal Park, off Land Boulevard, is managed by a special partnership of Public Works and the neighboring business and residential community. The Cambridge Cemetery is managed by the Cemetery Division of Public Works. There are several large areas within the City, however, that are either managed by other City agencies or by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (see answer to the next question).
