What paperwork does a child welfare professional need from the psychiatrist?
Child welfare professionals have special responsibilities to document medical information in the child’s case record and to provide certain information to caregivers, parents, lawyers, judges and others. If a child is evaluated by a psychiatrist, the child welfare professional needs to receive some documentation of the evaluation signed by the psychiatrist.
