What packaging materials are suitable for automatic thermoforming machines?
The packaging materials have to meet the following basic requirements: • They need to be heatsealable. • They need to be formable and cuttable. • The base film thickness may not exceed 1 500 . • The lid film thickness may not exceed 300 . • Some materials, like sterilizable PP or ovenable C-PET require special machine equipment, careful settings and extended process times. You are generally better off with Multivac traysealers here.
