It provides academic advising, tutoring, financial aid application assistance, and cultural events. GEAR Up serves a class of middle schoolers through graduation to promote college-going. GEAR Up provides academic advising, tutoring, mentoring, college application workshops, financial aid application workshop, college visits, cultural activities, and a summer program. It also provides teacher professional development opportunities to its target schools.
