What other types of unsolicited telephone calls are exempted?
Not all unsolicited telephone calls are telephone solicitations. Many people receive unsolicited telephone calls from organizations that are not engaged in “telephone solicitation” and as a result, these organizations are not required to comply with the statewide “Do Not Call List.” However, debt collectors calling about a debt are explicitly excepted from the law.
