Virtually any shipboard hydraulic system can be (and has been) powered from NAIAD thruster hydraulic circuits. Because the thruster has a substantial amount of power available, and it is an intermittent duty device, it makes perfect sense to utilize this hydraulic resource for other shipboard equipment such as windlasses, capstans, and davits.
