What other resources will Finance give system owners in order to prepare for the C-FOAPAL conversion?
Because each system is somewhat different, no programming assistance will be provided. The departmental owners have the most expertise regarding their systems, and will ultimately be responsible for ongoing maintenance of those systems, so the responsibility to prepare their systems lies with them. The primary role of the UI-Integrate Finance Legacy Interface coordinator (Bruce Hammerberg) will be communication of design information, some high-level analysis, and monitoring of project progress. UI-Integrate Training, Decision Support tools, and a test environment will also be made available after the Finance design phase. As part of the conversion effort, we intend to deliver a document that lists the old UFAS accounts and their new C-FOAPAL segment values as well as crosswalk references from UFAS to Banner.
