Almost all kids in schools also play Soccer, which is called football. And no – almost nobody plays soccer bare feet – at least not out of choice. 60 years ago, the Indian soccer team refused to participate in the Football world cup since they refused to wear shoes. Everything has changed since. Along with soccer, other popular sports in India are : Tennis, Basketball (Popular in schools and colleges) Hockey, Swimming Boxing, Shooting and Weight-lifting are sports that India does fairly well in international sporting events. In addition, Table Tennis, Badminton, Squash, Chess & Snooker/ Billiards/Pool are very common and very popular in India.

There is some sports in which India Done well it is Boxing and Hockey and also Chess but not any popular sport but Vollyball is quite popular in India,and in the east there peoples are mad about Football.
