You can increase the oxygen solubility in the lab by increasing the pressure, Also as someone said oxygen is taken up by algae and micro-oganisms, but oxygen intake can be effected positively by soluble metals that react with oxygen e.g Iron. Note the amount you charged into the salt water and the DO you find on analysis will not be the same for mass balance calculations, due to the above factors.
