What other forms of parental discipline are alternatives to smacking or spanking?
I’m very against hitting in any way I don’t care if spanking is legal or not phisical discipline is wrong! There are tons of other ways to discipline your children. If they are throwing a fit do not raise your voice, don’t show sings of frustration, just stay calm and relax talk normally tell them to stop, explain to them what they did wrong why it’s wrong and a punishment, make the punishment different each time so they don’t know what to expect it adds a fear which will stop any bad habbits or rule breakng, each punishment should be worse than the last, doesn’t matter if they broke the same rule or not. For teens same thing, don’t get mad because they know they’re getting to you. Stay calm but have a disapointed tone in your voice this will add guilt or a feeling of a let down, that will stop any bad habbits or rule breaking, it will also come back when peer presure comes in, they will remember how disapointed you were and don’t want that to happen a lgain because it’s a shifty feeli
