A. uk.people.sf-fans is a newgroup focusing on science fiction and fandom in the UK. upsf is a good place for announcements and discussion of club and pub meetings in the UK. As of August, 1999, the newer upsf group has far less message traffic than rassef. rec.music.filk is for discussion of filk music. There’s also a whole rec.arts.comics.* hierarchy. Timebinders is a mailing list for people interested in the history of sf fandom, but also carries a fair amount of other fannish chat.
