What other criteria do selection officers consider when making selection decisions?
Entry for some programs is determined by ENTER results alone. For other programs, entry can be determined by performance at interview; quality of your folio; performance in an entry test; STAT test, or even a combination of all of these things. Selection officers will also take into consideration any additional information you may have provided on your ‘S’ or ‘SI’ form in your initial application. To find out what criteria a selection officer will be using when making selection decisions, look up the program entry in the VTAC Guide 2003. Each program entry has a section called Selection Mode. This section will tell you what factors are considered when assessing applications from both CY12 and NONY12 applicants. NONY12 applicants are considered on an individual basis depending on the applicant’s educational background.
