WPI is a host school. This means that the Bay State Battalion is the headquarters for Army ROTC in central Massachusetts. Currently, students attending any of the four-year institutions in the Worcester Consortium may participate in the Army ROTC program, as well as students at Framingham State College, Fitchburg State College, UMASS-Lowell, and Quinsigamond Community College.
