What other breed of freshwater fish can i join with my betta?
Bettas can be placed in tanks with other fish, as long as there are no other bettas in there with them. You also want to avoid fish with long fins or the betta will be likely to chew on them. Tetras are fairly easy to care for, as well as zebra danios (another good starter fish). Both are considered community fish and would do fairly well in a tank with a betta. Other fish that could possibly intermingle with your betta are mollys and platys, both good community fish. Be sure that whichever specific breed you pick does not have flowing fins that can be chewed on.
