What opportunities will agencies have to provide input to the design and management of the statewide FMS?
The Joint Governance Board, comprised of three members, representing the Office of the State Comptroller, the Division of the Budget, and the Office of the Chief Information Officer/Office for Technology will request agencies to appoint an Agency Coordinator responsible to coordinate communications and activities between the FOCAS and NYFMS Project teams and State agencies. Other agency roles for successful implementation will be identified through the Agency Coordinator as the projects develop. Project success will require that we establish broad-based, ongoing dialogues with agencies on a wide range of financial processes and information needs. We are actively encouraging agencies to become involved in the project, particularly in areas where they have unique skills, interests or requirements.
