What operating systems does ControlTier run on?
ControlTier server and agent have been tested on Red Hat AS3, EL4, EL5, and the equivalent CentOS versions; Solaris 8, 9, and 10; Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5; Windows 2000, XP, 2003. No issues have been reported about running ControlTier in cloud or virtualized hosts (AWS, VMWare, Xen, etc.). ControlTier can be reasonably expected to work on most Linux and UNIX systems with a Java 1.5 VM, usually with just minor tweaking. Windows support is solid as well but we don’t do as much testing of the demo’s and HOWTO’s on Windows. Post any questions you may have about compatibility to the mailing list.
