What Operating Systems are supported?
The project shows a definite bias to the linux operating system, reflecting the team’s use. The server is most definitely aimed at the UNIX environment for server development, and we have no intentions of porting it to another OS right now. However, we do see the need for gamers to have access to a client on other operating systems. We need Windows programmers especially, to test and debug our Windows clients. They’re in a bit of a sorry state right now. Hopefully we’ll get some MacOS and BeOS hackers on board and will get some ports to those platforms as well.

If you have a pirated copy of Windows XP and hence can’t install Service Pack 1 or 2 then you’re out of luck.
Windows XP is the lowest supported OS for which we will provide installaation and runtime support for METARs Downloader. The software has been run on Windows 98, Windows 2000, and Windows ME with .NET v1.0 installed. Due to these versions of Windows having reached or being close to end of life it is not a sure thing that METARs Downloader will run on these opeating systems. Please download the trial version of METARs Downloader and try it before purchase if you are attempting to install on one of these systems. Also, if you are downgrading your current installation of METARs Downloader from a supported OS to one of the unsupported systems cited above we can not provide support in that situation.
PHP-Nuke runs well on the following Operating Systems: • Linux • Any Unix flavor • OS/2 • Any Windows flavor • MacOS • FreeBSD The system has been high tested on Linux systems, the other operating system has been reported by users that works great. In the future BeOS will be supported, this depends on the MySQL BeOS version to be released soon.
