What operating system, database and network configurations are supported by HORIZON?
HORIZON is distributed as either a full-use or application-specific (runtime) license. Full-use licensing is available on over one hundred platforms. ChemWare offers the cost-effective application-specific license on our most popular platform, the Intel-based server running Windows 2000, NT 4.0 or 5. There is no functional difference in these two licenses. The application-specific license is restricted to use with the HORIZON software only (rather than other Oracle applications, such as Oracle Payroll or Oracle Reports). See Hardware Recommendations for more information. Any Oracle-supported network protocol is fine. HORIZON is also compatible with any SMTP/MAPI-compliant e-mail system. The HORIZON Remote Client Access front-end is supported by the most common Internet browsers, including Internet Explorer and Netscape.
