What Ofsted say?

In 2008 Ofsted visited the ChEC and said: • “The students agree that their knowledge of chemistry has been both deepened and extended…….. It is clearly a preparation for teacher training.” • “The course is being effective at promoting a deeper understanding of chemistry by the students. ….. This clearly meets the TDA’s purposes of encouraging a wider range of people entering the teaching profession and preparing students to enter initial teacher training with an adequate background in chemistry. The UEL is certainly meeting these requirements in the provision it is making for students following the chemistry enhancement course.
