What of BEE procurement activities, BEE enterprise development and the MSc development programme?
We have complemented the promul- gation of the DTI’s codes with the publishing of our preferential procurement policy. The procurement policy will guide all our assets and corporate functions as they pursue sustainable BEE supply initiatives within our supply chain. In line with the preferential procurement scorecard, our BEE supply strategy answers how we will progress procurement from B-BBEE-compliant suppliers, exempted micro and qualifying small enterprises, and black women owned businesses. Identified meaningful, sustainable and largely value-chain resident BEE supply opportunities will be nurtured via our newly instituted enterprise development function that has been competently equipped to capacitate qualifying beneficiaries haunted by limitations undermining their level of service provision.
