What oem stereos fit a 2001 chevrolet metro?
I believe a 2001 chevy metro has the same factory radio opening as my 1998. It is a “double-din” opening. This means almost any aftermarket stereo will fit your car. You can purchase a double-din stereo, or put a single-din into your dash with an adapter faceplate. Crutchfield.com is the best site, as they will tell you which decks will fit your car, also give you a free wiring harness with your purchase, and a free adapter plate if needed. Very good customer service. I purchased a Clarion unit for around $100 with cd player, auxiliary input and usb ports on the front to hook up your ipod or other device. This also allows a thumb drive to be plugged directly into the stereo and plays mp3 files right from your computer.
