Long working distance objectives are required to image cells in the slide. The working distance should be greater than 0.5 mm for an inverted microscope and greater than 1.2 mm for an upright microscope. Therefore, most objectives up to 20x are compatible with the LiveCell Array, and most objectives 60x and greater are required to be specified as ‘long working distance’.
