What nutrient analysis software does ERS4 use to analyze the 24-hour recalls?
The nutrient content information on ERS4 was drawn primarily from the database used by USDA for the Nationwide Food Consumption Survey, with additional items from Agriculture Handbook #8 Nutrient Content of Foods. Each food was also separated by its respective food group servings, based on a white paper that translated the Food Guide Pyramid recommendations into measurable quantities.
