Non-subscribing stations and cable systems will not have any Nielsen data. Nielsen information is licensed to subscribing customers only. If a station or system chooses not to subscribe to the data, that is their decision. However, as a non-subscriber, that company is obligated under the terms of their expiring contract to return all historical Nielsen data. This includes all published ratings books, supplemental reports, custom analysis, computer software, and overnight ratings. All software systems at the station or system connected to our mainframe computers will also be denied access to our systems. Nielsen information is licensed to subscribers only, and cannot be used by any company or person who is not paying for that service. Non-subscribers will not be allowed access to television ratings nor their competitors viewership information. Third-party processors, such as Donovan Data Systems, TvSCAN, etc. cannot supply ratings data to a client who does not subscribe to LPM service.
