What next from the AQA for the nations children?
These qualifications are patronising even to a disabled child. If you have a disability, the best that you are expected to achieve is that you can catch a bus, dress yourself, wash your hands etc. New Labour has dumbed down the education system to a point of being totally meaningless. The other night, I was watching a Japanese or Chinese 3 year old playing Bach on the piano. Another one at 4 was playing a violin. When they get to 5 they are mastering difficult pieces from Chopin. Now compare that to a British child. At 5 they aren’t toilet trained. They cannot eat with a knife and fork. They can’t spell their name or read a simple passage in a book. These children are the future that New Labour will build a rich prosperous Society on in competition with the far east. I’ve said this before, teachers have been dumbed down. It took one 28 attempts to pass her exams. Would you want that imbecile teaching your child?
