What new trades training programmes will be offered through TradeFIT?
TradeFIT makes it possible for eight new trades’ courses to be offered by CPIT in the 2008 calendar year. Each of these offerings is in an area where there is a recognised shortfall in skills and expertise, both locally and nationally. New training programmes include; Brick and Block skills; Specialist construction skills – roofing; commercial construction; specialist construction skills – Tilt Slab construction; Drainage and Gas-fitting; Confined spaces training; Traffic management; and Project management.
