Just a few of the planned additions include a dedicated children’s emergency department, a pediatric cancer and bone marrow unit, extended-stay intensive care for long-term patients, and a children’s classroom for long-term patients to continue their education. Future plans call for a children’s operating room including pre-op and post-op area just for children.
