What new projects are happening in Stafford County?
A1: Construction has begun on the new England Run Library. It is expected to open in September 2010. A2: Walmart has opened its newest store at Stafford Lakes off of Route 17 in south Stafford. The store showcases the new corporate layout and green construction techniques. A3: The new Fire & Rescue Station 2 on Courthouse Road opened in May 2009. A4: The state-of-the-art Public Safety center is now open. Located just west of the Stafford County Government Administration Center on Courthouse Road, the new facility houses the county’s sheriff’s office, the fire and rescue department administrative offices, the 9-1-1 Communications Center and the Emergency Operations Center. The facility is now Stafford’s largest government building.
