What new IKEA store openings are scheduled?
We currently have planning permission to build two new stores. The first opening in Ashton under Lyne Manchester later this year and Coventry city centre the beginning of next year. As yet it is too early to confirm actual opening dates. New stores New store sites are being sought in a number of different areas and are in various stages of planning. Update Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland IKEA has announced it has submitted planning permission to build a major store at the Holywood Exchange site (known as D5) on the outskirts of Belfast, near Belfast City Airport. IKEA has submitted planning permmission to build an IKEA store in Dublin’s Ballymun area confirming its intentions to open two stores on the island of Ireland. IKEA are now waiting for the out come of both applications.
