What new ground braking effects viewers can look for in STARSHIP TROOPERS 3?
I’m not sure I would say we attempted anything completely ground-breaking for MARAUDER. That said, there is a nearly five minute sequence [xxxxxxxxxxxxxx TEMPORARY CLASSIFIED BY STARSHIP TROOPERS 3.NET xxxxxxxxxxxxxx] that’s virtually entirely, uh…virtual. That was very challenging. STARSHIP TROOPERS 3: MARAUDER has taken a very ambitious approach of mixing miniature effects, live creature effects, in-the-field special effects with CGI. Can you tell me more about how did this co-operation go? For example the attack on Roku San with the Scorpion Bug is a blending of almost every effects technique available. Well, I’m not sure I would say ambitious as much as smart! Using all the different tools and techniques allowed us to use the right technique for the right situation. For example, in the Roku San scenes, the Arachnid movements would be extremely difficult and time-consuming to do with puppets or expensive to create full-motion full-size, so it makes sense to create them digitally.
