What new features are in e-FAQ version 2.1?
Version 2.1 included major improvements to just about all areas of e-FAQ. Several new features were added (many in response to suggestions by customers of previous versions) to improve matching performance, ease of use, and flexibility. The following is a partial list of the new features we believe will be most helpful: • Language-Neutral Mode – Allows FAQs to be in languages besides English with very little degradation of matcher performance. • Feedback – The ability to learn from previous queries allowing administrators to fine-tune matching performance. • Full Boolean Expression Query Mode – Support for complex expressions (using AND, OR, and NOT) and the ability to restrict queries to particular fields or subsets of entries. • Entry and FAQ Recycle Bins – Support for “logical deletes” of entries and FAQs allowing deleted items to be undeleted at a later time. • Entry Activation/Expiration Dates – A range of dates can now be specified during which an entry is active and after which
