What new construction projects are under way at ENMU?
ENMU is in the midst of $70 million in campus construction projects, including renovation and expansion of the Science Building; construction of San Juan Village, a new apartment complex; improvements to the Campus Union; and heating, cooling and fiber optic upgrades, renovation of the music building and natatorium. The newest building on campus, the Communication Center, opened in 2006. It houses academic programs in Communicative Arts and Sciences and the broadcast center for KENW-TV and KENW/KMTH-FM. Students have the opportunity to work at KENW, which is converting to new digital equipment. In 2006, New Mexico voters approved $4.5 in general obligation bond money to renovate ENMU’s Music Building. Construction is expected to begin in 2008.
