Spread Spectrum Clocking (SSC) reduces Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) failures. SSC is not required for 3Gb/s SAS connections. iii.) RAS (Reliability, Availability & Serviceability) enhancements include physical improvements, enhanced zoning and improved symmetric multi-processing (SMP) functionality.
