Modern Family TV Show: Recap of pilot Last night saw the new ABC comedy “Modern Family” hit our screens for the first time and if you just happened to miss it, we have a recap for you. When the episode started, we met the first couple Phil, who is played by Ty Burrell and Claire, who is played by Julie Bowen. And as a typical married couple, we see them bickering with each other, about getting the kids to come down for breakfast. Next we get to meet the show’s gay couple, Cameron and Mitchell, who have apparently just adopted Lily from Vietnam. We then see Cameron and Mitchell back at home and having trouble with Lily.
