Seinfeld is supposed to take place somewhere in the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Tom’s Restaurant, the usual hangout of Jerry and the gang, is located at 112th Street and Broadway and the home of “The Soup Nazi” is on West 55th Street, near 8th Avenue. Central Park is mentioned as being close in several episodes. Madison Square Garden (moderately far from the upper west side) is mentioned as being far enough to take a taxi. Jerry even mentioned once that his address was 129 West 81st Street, which is without a doubt in the upper west side.
