What needs to happen to my telephone line in order for me to receive AlphaCall broadband?

In order for you to receive AlphaDSL broadband, your telephone line needs to be connected to a specific device at your local telephone exchange. This device is in turn connected to the AlphaCall network, and provides you with a much faster internet connection. This device, known as a DSLAM (Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer), will communicate directly with your ADSL modem over your existing telephone line. If your local telephone exchange has one of these devices installed, and has room for your telephone line, you should be able to connect to the broadband service, subject to quality of your phone line. Your phone line will need to undergo some simple tests in order to determine if all of these factors are in place and it is possible to provide you with this service.
