What needs to be submitted to build a house?
You need two sets of plans, one copy of the structural calculations, Title 24 energy calculations and a current soils report (less than one year old). The plan check fee needs to be paid at the time of submittal. However, before submitting your plans, contact the Community Development Department by phone at (805) 449-2323, via email at CommunityDevelopment@toaks.org, or visit the Community Development Department public counter anytime Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., to discuss your project with a planner. You will receive information regarding Planning and Building Division requirements as well as information about requirements for other departments and agencies that are part of the review process.
