What needs to be done to establish the Park and Recreation District?
Several items are required before a Park & Recreation District can be established: 1. We must have 550 people sign a petition asking the County Commissioners approving the initiative being placed on the November ballot. The deadline for the petitions to be submitted is February 29th. While that number may seem small it represents one out of every six registered voters within the district boundaries. 2. The people within the district must approve the initiative. 3.
