What needs to be done to ensure that auditors are ready to work to the revised standards?
Auditors, whether external or internal, will have to demonstrate their competence not only on the structure, content and terminology of the revised standards, but also on the underlying quality management principles. The revised standards require that auditors are able to understand the organization’s activities and processes and appropriately audit against the requirements of the standard in relation to the organization’s objectives.
