What nations gained power after the decline of the feudal system of Europe?
After the decline of the feudal system, centralized monarchical states gained power. France under Henry of Navarre and Louis XIV, Austria under the Hapsburgs, Spain under the Phillips and, to a certain extent, Britain under the Tudors and Stuarts. Though it retained a very feudal-like system, Russia was also to gain immense power very soon after the period in question.
